The school is recognized for effectively implementing the Education 5.0 model, which emphasizes hands-on learning.

St Mark’s has introduced various income-generating projects, such as fabrication, fish-farming, an abattoir, a float tray nursery, piggery, and poultry.

These projects not only support the school financially but also equip students with practical business skills.

The income from these ventures has allowed the school to acquire additional resources like a commuter omnibus (pictured) and a superette, offering affordable items to students while fostering business acumen in them.

Vocational training is also a significant part of the curriculum, providing students with essential life skills through hands-on learning in projects like piggery and abattoir management. This prepares students for life beyond school.

In May 2024, St Mark’s High School was honored at the inaugural Anglican Diocese of Harare CPCA Bishop’s Merit Awards, receiving recognition and a US$5,000 prize for their achievements.

These advancements highlight the school’s dedication to providing a holistic education that prepares students for future challenges.
