Mzingwane High School
Mzingwane High School is the only boys' high school in Matebeleland South. The school was founded in 1921 in Esigodini. The school is in Umzingwane district and it has a boarding facility.
The school does well in sports and their under 16 soccer team were champions of the 2012 under 16 national Copa-Coca-Cola cup.
Standards at the school have gone down and in 2017 parents petitioned the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education to look into the decaying state of affairs at the school. Another video circulated showing the sorry state of the school.
In its heyday, Mzingwane High boasted one of the best pass rates in the country, while its extracurricular activities were the envy of schools in the region and across the country.
Mzingwane High School Application
There are no Marist Brothers Dete Secondary School application forms to download for form one places 2021. The enrolment is done online through the Ministry of Education’s EMAP platform.
This is usually available after publication of the Grade 7 results. You are encouraged to apply as quickly as possible because the competition for places is stiff and there are fewer places available.
