Application Process For Girls' College
The admissions process at Girls College is designed to be clear and accessible for prospective students and their families. An Open Day is held annually, allowing visitors to tour the facilities, meet staff and students, and learn more about the school.
To apply, download the application here or collect it at the administration office.
Completed forms must include documentation such as the student's birth certificate and latest school report.
After the application is processed, selected candidates will be notified and invited to complete further enrollment steps, including an assessment test for Form One applicants.
The college is multi-cultural, taking students from all over the world. The school is interdenominational Christian and promotes respect and understanding between pupils of different races, faiths, beliefs, cultures and backgrounds.
Form One Admissions
For applicants to Form One, you will receive a confirmation form via email to designate your preferred school. If you choose Girls’ College, please return this form by the specified deadline.
This form will also include a letter detailing the assessment test requirements set by the Conference of Heads of Independent Schools in Zimbabwe (CHISZ).
The assessment test occurs on the first Saturday of July, starting at 7:45 AM, and candidates should arrive by 7:15 AM. With around 90 seats available, a selection process follows shortly after the examination. If selected, you will receive an acceptance letter by the end of July.
Once your daughter is selected, you must submit the Acceptance Form by the end of August and pay a nonrefundable acceptance fee. This one-time charge does not cover school fees.
Girls' College Uniform
The school's colours are blue, navy blue, red, Girls’ College Candy Stripe, white and Prefects blue. Girls’ College uniforms are obtainable at Femina Garments, Belmont, Bulawayo and The Wearhouse, Jason Moyo St, Bulawayo.
Alternatively, quality second-hand uniforms are available at the Thrift Shop on-site at the school which is open on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:00 am and 11:00 am.
