Petra College
Petra College is a Christian co-ed school in Bulawayo serving students from early years to the sixth form. The school offers the Cambridge & Zimsec syllabus.
Petra creates a platform to help build within each child and teen a strong, respectful and upstanding character they will take with them into their adult life.
The College is made up of two schools to cater for the various age groups. Petra College Junior is an excellent Christian school for girls and boys ranging from ECD A to Grade 7. It is a feeder school to Petra College Senior which caters for students from form one to form 6. The school also offers City & Guilds
Petra College Pass Rate
The school performs well in public exams. For example, in 2018 the school won the following awards at the Imbizo District Awards for the 2017 exams.

English Language – Being the school with the highest pass rate at O Level in 2017
Physical Science – Being the school with the highest pass rate at O Level in 2017

Petra College Admissions
Form 1 –4
Petra Junior students are automatically accepted to the Petra Senior upon completion of Grade 7. However, families still need to let the Senior School know of their intentions by filling in the application form. All other applications for forms 1 to 4 are welcome anytime.
Application Procedures
- Download or Complete the Petra College Application Form (Pre-Interview Form) and submit by hand or filled out online and sent to admissions@petracollege.co.zw
- Submit a Certified Copy of your child’s birth certificate
- Pay the $20 Registration Fee – to be paid at the Petra College Accounts Office (Currently located at the Senior School)
Lower 6 – Upper 6
Preference will be given to current the College's Senior students.
Application Procedures

- Submit a Certified Copy of your child’s birth certificate
- Pay the $20 Registration Fee – to be paid at the Accounts Office (Currently located at the Senior School)
- Copy of latest school report/mock or original statement of ‘O’ Level results
- External applicants will have to submit a Letter of Recommendation from their current/latest Headmaster
Petra College Fees
Petra is an elite school and as such its fees are on the high side. The fees range around US$2 000 per term. The following breakdown is for capital development and tuition fees for the school from form one to six.
