Murewa High School

Murewa High School is a mixed boarding school that is located in Mashonaland East. It is a mission school run by the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe and it is in Murewa district.

The school has a number of projects including a piggery with over 50 pigs, a garden that produces cabbages, peas, tomatoes, onions and green pepper.

Murewa High School Pass Rate

The school features regularly in the top 100 schools in ZImbabwe in terms of pass rate. In 2013 the Murewa High had a 66.92% pass rate at O-Level.

The following year, 2014, saw the A-Levels posting an impressive 99.5% pass rate. That year the school was only placed 40 out of 100 best A-Level schools because the top 20 schools all posted a perfect 100% pass rate.

2015 saw the school getting a pass rate of 68.62% at O-Level. The A-Levels were ranked 89th in 2017.

In 2019 the school attained a 66.92% pass rate at O-Level and they were placed 69 out of 100.

Murewa High School Application Process

There are no Murehwa High School application forms to download for form one places 2021. The enrolment is done online through the Ministry of Education’s EMAP platform.

This is usually available after publication of the Grade 7 results. You are encouraged to apply as quickly as possible because the competition for places is stiff and there are fewer places available.

Murewa High School Fees

Murehwa High is a generally affordable boarding school. The school was charging $450 as boarding fees for third term 2018. A few months before in July 2018, the school's deputy head had complained that the school's fees are too low.

In December 2019 the school increased its fees to ZWL$3 500 (about US$200).

The current school 2023 fees for Murewa High are US$270, Solar levy US$30 and RTGS $78 000.
