Applications are invited for admission into the following programmes at the Midlands State University for the FEBRUARY 2024 INTAKE.

Applicants can apply online or an applicant can obtain an application form physically from the Admissions Office at the Gweru, Harare (No. 1 Kwame Nkrumah) and  Zvishavane Campuses.

Applicants must hold at least 5 ‘O’ level passes at grade C or better, including ENGLISH LANGUAGE in addition to the specified ‘A’ level subjects or diplomas. Dates for registration, orientation and commencement of lectures will be advised in due course.

Master of Science in Applied Agricultural Economics – 2 years• To be eligible for the programme, a candidate must normally be a holder of at  least a lower second class (2.2) first degree in Agriculture, Agricultural  Economics; Economics; or any other related programme from a recognized  University.
2. Master of Science in Agricultural Informatics and Data Analytics – 1 ½  years• To be eligible for the programme, a candidate must normally be a holder of at  least a lower second class (2.2) first degree in Agriculture, Agricultural  Economics; Economics; Mathematics; Statistics; Information Technology or  any other related programme from a recognized University.
3. Master of Science in Animal Breeding and Biotechnology – 2 years• To be eligible for the programme a candidate must be a holder of an Honours  Degree (class 2.2/GPA 2.0 or better) in Agriculture or relevant subjects such as  Animal Science, Biological Science, Biotechnology and Natural Resources, or  equivalent. 
4. Master of Science in Land and Water Resources Management – 2 years â€¢ To be eligible for this programme a candidate should be a holder of a first degree  in Land and Water Resources Management or related fields from a recognized  University.

5. Master of Science in Crop Science – 2 ½ years• To be eligible for the programme, a candidate must normally be a holder of at  least a good first degree in Agronomy, Crop Science or Horticulture or related  fields from a recognised University. Candidates with lower degree classes may  be admitted upon showing proof of employment in a crop science-related field  for at least three years.
6. Master of Science in Crop Protection – 2 ½ Years• To be eligible for the programme, a candidate must normally be a holder of at  least a good first degree in Agronomy, Crop Science or Horticulture or related  fields from a recognised University. 13. Doctor Of Business Leadership Degree (DBL) – February 2024 Intake To be eligible for admission to the Doctor of Business Leadership programme, a  candidate must have:  • at least five (5) years managerial experience, of which three (3) years or more must  be at Executive Management and/or Director levels.   • A good pass in a relevant business-related Masters or MPhil degree from a  recognized institution.  • Note that only short-listed candidates will be communicated to.  Offer letters with information regarding tuition fees and dates for registration,  orientation and commencement of lectures will be issued to successful candidates.   The closing date for the receipt of applications is 31st January 2023.
