Zwangendaba High School is a mixed secondary school located in Lupane, Matabeleland North Province. The School is named after the renowned Ngoni King Zwangendaba. It is officially registered under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MoPSE), and is recognised as one of the leading secondary schools in the district.
Zwangendaba High School is situated about 170 kilometres north of Bulawayo and provides quality education in a disciplined and supportive learning environment. As of 2022, the school had an enrolment of 471 learners, comprising 262 girls and 209 boys aged between 13 and 18 years.
The institution continues to strive for excellence in both academic performance and school management. Following a school management and leadership training programme in early 2022, the school has strengthened its vision to become one of the best-run schools in the district, thereby improving learner outcomes and pass rates.

Zwangendaba High School Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the school, new learners applying for Form 1, Form 5, or transferring from another school must submit the following documents and items during registration. These requirements help ensure a smooth admission process and proper placement.
For Form 1 applicants, Grade 7 results are required. Transfer students must provide a Transfer Letter from their previous school. All new learners are also required to pay a $10.00 admission fee and purchase a school T-shirt, hat, and shorts for $16.00.
For administrative purposes, each learner must bring two reams of bond paper (500 sheets each). Additional supporting documents include:
- A clearance letter from the previous school
- Proof of residence issued by the Village Head
- A photocopy of the learner’s birth certificate
- A photocopy of the parent or guardian’s national ID
