ZIMSEC Announces 2025 Exam Fees Exchange Rate

ZIMSEC EXCANGE RATE FEES

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has set the exam fees exchange rate for 2025. This provides clarity for parents and guardians preparing for upcoming exams.

The fixed exchange rate applies to a range of exams scheduled for 2025. These include:

  • June and November O-Level and A-Level Exams
  • Grade 6 and Grade 7 Examinations

Fixed Exchange Rate

To ensure consistency and transparency in exam fee payments, ZIMSEC has set a fixed exchange rate between March 10 and March 14, 2025. The exchange rate is ZiG 26.65 = US$1

Payment Process for 2025 Exam Fees

In a Finance Notice issued on March 10, Ms. Zipora Muzenda, the ZIMSEC Director of Finance, outlined the new exchange rate as a measure to help navigate the ongoing fluctuations in the currency market.

To support parents and guardians in preparing for the 2025 exam fees, ZIMSEC will provide weekly exchange rate updates.

ZIMSEC will continue to accept examination fees in the currency paid by parents or guardians. However, examination centers must forward the payments in the same currency to the council. This process is designed to enhance efficiency and ensure fairness for all involved.

The notice was shared with key educational leaders, including Permanent Secretaries from the Ministries of Primary and Secondary Education, as well as the Public Service, Labour, and Social Welfare Ministries, alongside regional coordinators and headmasters of schools.
