Monte Cassino High School History & Background
Monte Cassino High School Zimbabwe is a mission boarding & day school run by the Roman Catholic Church. The was founded in 1902 and is supported by the Precious Blood Sisters and the Benedictines.
The girls-only school is located 7km south-east of Macheke in the Mashonaland East province of Zimbabwe. Before 2000, the school only offered ‘Ordinary Level' education. The year 2000 saw the opening of the Advanced Level Suite.
Monte Cassino High School Pass Rate
The school is well-known for producing high achieving pupils over the years. In the November 2013 O-Level exams the school had 82 candidates and all scored 5 or more passes resulting in a 100% pass rate.
In 2014 the school also registered a 100% pass rate after all its 59 candidates passed the A-Level exams.
The feat was repeated in the 2015 A-Level and O-Level exams & the school registered a 100% pass rate. Three girls from the school had 20 points each at A-Level that year.
The school was placed 26 out of 100 in the 2017 A-Level examinations.
A 96.15% pass rate was attained both in the November 2018 & November 2019 O-Level exams. These great results mean that the school is one of the top ten boarding schools in the country.
How To Apply To Monte Cassino High School
There are no application forms for form one places at Monte Cassino High School. The enrolment is done through the Ministry of Education’s EMAP platform: this is usually available after publication of the Grade 7 results.
No applications are accepted directly at the school.

For example, a worried parent complained about fees increases and students from Monte Cassino high school complained that they were getting poor food despite the high school fees their parents had paid.
