Waterfalls Adventist High School Waterfalls Adventist High is a fast-growing, private Adventist Secondary School owned by the East Zimbabwe Conference (EZC) of the Seventh–Day Adventist (SDA) Church who is the responsible authority.

The schools' aim is to develop students into independent and successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens – with the view to giving them all the skills, knowledge and capabilities to thrive in a globalised world.

The science-based school offers the international Cambridge syllabus and the curriculum focuses on authentic learning experiences; specifically designed to provide students with courses that lead to industry certification, and college credit.

Waterfalls Adventist High School opened its doors in May 2017 with just 2 learners and 5 teachers and it has grown from strength to strength.

Currently, the enrolment stands at above 220 with a staff complement of 14 teachers giving a teacher-pupil ratio of 1:15. The enrolment includes a significant number of international pupils from the surrounding countries.

Waterfalls Adventist Secondary school helps international learners to acquire study permits through the ministries of Primary and Secondary Education and Home Affairs with much ease.

The school is one of the top Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) schools in Zimbabwe.

Teaching Styles & Assessment Methods at (WAHS)

A variety of teaching methods are used at Waterfalls Adventist High including teacher-directed learning, student research, group projects and presentations, visual presentations, e-learning and interactive classrooms. A variety of assessment methods are used to assess student outcomes.

These may include individual research projects, group assignments, oral and visual presentations, the use of technology including PowerPoint, podcast or vodcast presentations, as well as the more traditional class tests and assignments.

National and state testing programs ensure standards are met and maintained. Chinese courses are also offered at the school.
