St Luke Jemedza High School Curricullum
A wide curriculum that encompasses almost all the key subjects to produce an integral and multifaceted learner is offered at St Lukes Jemedza.

It also means that pupils become comfortable with the concept of testing long before they sit for public examinations at the end of O's and A Level courses.
At ZJC level the school offers 10 or 11 subjects. At ‘O' level the school has a total of 18 subjects divided into the sections: Sciences, Arts and Commercials.
At ‘A' level Jemedza High offers communication skills as a compulsory subject, 4 Arts and 5 Commercial subjects. There are plans to fully upgrade and equip the senior Laboratory so as to re-introduce A level pure sciences.
The school has a functional Library and general purpose hall and a state of the art Great Hall is under construction. There is a Laundry Department for learners clothing items and a well-stocked tuckshop within the school premises.
The Responsible Authority is constructing another semi-detached staff quarters to ensure that staff members have decent accommodation.

Boarding Life At St Luke Jemedza High School

St Luke Jemedza has a strict 5-minute policy. Learners are given 5 minutes after each lesson to visit ablution facilities.

If there were a rating of zero, I would give it without hesitation. Have you actually visited this school? The conditions are appalling. The children’s dormitories are in a state of disrepair, with old, tatty, and rundown mattresses. The girls' toilets were blocked on the day the Form 1 pupils arrived, making it clear that basic hygiene and facilities are not a priority. The grounds were in poor condition—untrimmed grass that was uncomfortably tall, adding to the overall sense that the school is not properly maintained.
We also found an older child washing their laundry. The child said they were expected to pay extra to have their clothes and bedding washed. This is despite the school claiming they provide this service.
Today, we went for orientation, and our child reported disturbing reports. They said the meat served at lunch was smelly, and at breakfast, they were told it wasn’t ready and had to make do with their tuck.
Please, do not send your child to this school. It’s not just about academic performance—it’s about ensuring your child’s safety, health, and well-being. This school fails in those areas, and no child should have to endure this kind of environment.
