Gwanda State University 2025 – Admission Requirements
Students interested in applying for the Gwanda University 2025 Intake must have relevant qualifications from either the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC), Cambridge School Certificate, or an equivalent examining body.
Applicants should have at least two GCE ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects and a minimum of five ‘O’ Level passes, including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or better.

Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Biology or Animal Science/Agriculture and any of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Food Science, Geography.
- OR a National Diploma in Animal Production and Health/Agriculture or equivalent.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Horticulture and Crop Production (NHC)
Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Biology or Crop Science/Agriculture and any of the following: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Food Science, Geography.
- OR a National Diploma in Horticulture and Crop Production/Agriculture or equivalent.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Agricultural Economics (LAE)
Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Economics, Mathematics, Geography, Business Management, Accounts, Biology, Agriculture, or Food Science.
- OR a National Diploma in Agricultural Economics or equivalent.

Faculty of Engineering and the Environment
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Degree in Metallurgical Engineering (EMR)
Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Chemistry, Mathematics and any of the following: Physics, Geography.
- OR a National Diploma in Metallurgy or equivalent.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Mining Engineering (EMI)

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Degree in Geomatics and Surveying (EGS)
Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
- OR a National Diploma in Geomatics and Surveying or equivalent.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Geography and Environmental Science (LES)

Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Mathematics and Statistics (SMS)
Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Mathematics or its recognized equivalents (Mechanics, Statistics, Pure Mathematics).
- OR a National Diploma in Mathematics and Statistics.
- Duration: 4 years
Faculty of Business Sciences and Management
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in Accounting (BAC)
Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language and Mathematics.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Accounting and any of the following: Economics, Business Studies, Mathematics, Statistics.
- OR a National Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
- Duration: 4 years
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in Marketing (BMA)
Entry Requirements:
- 5 O' Level passes at Grade C or better, including English Language.
- At least 2 A' Level passes in Economics, Management of Business, Business Studies, Marketing, Accounting, Mathematics or other commercial subjects.
- OR a National Diploma in Marketing or equivalent.
- Duration: 4 years
