Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Zimplats) is inviting applications for its 2026 Apprenticeship Programme. This programme offers young Zimbabweans an opportunity to receive structured technical training and gain valuable industry experience in the mining sector.
The apprenticeship programme runs for four years and is designed to equip trainees with practical skills, professional qualifications, and workplace experience in designated trades.
Available Apprenticeship Trades
Zimplats is recruiting apprentices in the following trades:
- Fitter & Turner – 5 positions
- Diesel Plant Fitter – 3 positions
- Electrical Power – 3 positions
Successful candidates will be based at the Selous Metallurgical Complex and Ngezi Mines.
Zimplats 2026 Apprenticeship Programme Entry Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Five (5) O-Level passes at Grade C or better
- Mathematics, English Language, and Science among the passed subjects
- A clearance letter from the Registrar of Apprenticeship
For Diesel Plant Fitter applicants, a clean driver's licence or learner's licence is required.
