Admission Requirements for Marondera University 2025 Intake
If you’re considering applying for the Marondera University 2025 intake, ensure you meet the following entry requirements:

General Admission Requirements
For admission to a 4-year degree program at MUAST, applicants must have the following qualifications in the ZIMSEC/CAMBRIDGE examinations or their equivalent:
- ‘O’ Level Requirements: Applicants must have passed a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- ‘A’ Level Requirements: Applicants must have two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in relevant subjects, except for applicants seeking admission to the BSc Honours in Development Sciences and Policy.
OR
- Diploma Holders: Applicants with a Diploma in the relevant field from a recognized institution may also apply. To qualify, applicants must have attained an overall grade of Merit or better. Applicants with a Pass grade must have at least 2 years of work experience in the relevant field.
Mature Entry Requirements
Applicants applying through the Mature Entry route must satisfy the following additional requirements:
- Age Requirements: Applicants should be at least 25 years of age for males and 23 years of age for females on the first day of the academic year in which admission is sought.
- Work Experience: Applicants should demonstrate potential suitability for university studies by virtue of relevant work experience. (Note: This requirement does not apply to applicants for the BSc Honours in Crop Production Technology, BSc Honours in Animal Science and Technology, or BSc Honours in Horticulture.)

- Veterinary Science (Note: Where this degree has been awarded without classification, evidence will be required that performance was equivalent to a good honours degree.)
- Biological Sciences (Evidence is required that candidates have performed satisfactorily in courses in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Statistics.)
Applicants whose previous experience is inadequate may be required to attend selected Undergraduate courses as occasional students to qualify for admission to the MSc programme.
2. MSc. Degree in Crop Science (Agronomy/Plant Breeding) – (MCR)
