Applications are now open for ECD Para-Professional Training Intake 7 at Madziwa Teachers College, beginning in August 2025.
This program is ideal for those passionate about Early Childhood Development and eager to gain the skills needed to run or support ECD centres.
Madziwa Teachers College Intake 7 Course Duration & Structure
The training runs for 6 months and is broken into three intensive phases:
Phase 1 includes face-to-face lectures held over a period equivalent to 3 weeks. These are full days, including weekends, and attendance is compulsory. This phase costs $165 for residents and $71 for non-residents.
The fee covers the:
- Application ($5)
- Registration ($5)
- Tuition ($50)
- Amenities ($11)
- Accommodation ($40 for residents only)
- Food ($54 for residents only)
Phase 2 is a one-term teaching practice component where students are expected to teach at an ECD centre while engaging in online consultations with college lecturers. This phase costs $25.
Phase 3 includes another face-to-face session and the graduation ceremony. The fee for this final phase is $160 for residents and $66 for non-residents, plus a separate graduation fee of $65.

Accommodation is available at the school for those not residing in Madziwa. The college does not provide any off-campus accommodation. If one chooses to stay off-campus, they will be responsible for their living arrangements, and the college will not be involved.
