Khumbula High School opened its doors as a secondary school in 1984. Today, it accommodates approximately 400 learners, the majority of whom are boarders. The school boasts a vibrant, energetic, and committed team that works tirelessly to help students reach their full potential.

Khumbula High School Pass Rates
Khumbula High School is known for its steady and progressive academic performance. While the recent 2024 results are currently unavailable pending confirmation, the school has a strong reputation for good pass rates, as demonstrated by its historical performance.
In 2021, the school achieved a 64% pass rate in the ZIMSEC O-Level examinations, an improvement from the 58% recorded in 2020.
At A-Level, the school recorded a 100 percent pass rate with quality symbols across the board, an increase from the previous year’s 88 percent.
Khumbula High School Fees
Khumbula High School offers quality education at an affordable cost. The boarding fees are approximately USD 600 per term for boarders.
These fees cover tuition, hostel meals, and contribute towards school development projects.
In addition, day scholars pay USD 150 per term.

Khumbula High School Projects
The school has undertaken several development projects to improve its facilities and services. It has successfully drilled two solar-powered boreholes to enhance its water supply, with one of the boreholes partly funded by the Tsholotsho Rural District Council to help address the water challenges the school faced in previous years.
In addition, the school has installed a solar-powered energy system that provides reliable electricity for the entire school, both day and night. Other notable projects include the tiling of the dining hall and ongoing improvements to infrastructure.
The Agriculture Department contributes to the school’s self-sufficiency by maintaining livestock, including goats, cattle, and pigs, as well as poultry, primarily broiler chickens, which supply the school’s dining hall.
