Admission into the Undergraduate Bachelor of Technology (Honours) Degree Programmes for March and August 2025 are now open
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the specified entry requirements into Part One of the following Undergraduate Degree Programmes. These are four/five-year full-time requirements for admission in March 2025 and August 2025.
Applicants with special needs are encouraged to apply.
For all degree programmes, candidates must have five ‘O' Level passes at Grade ‘C' or better with passes in Mathematics and English.
School of Engineering and Technology
1.1 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Biomedical Engineering (5 years)
- A' Level passes in Physics, Mathematics and a third approved subject such as Biology.
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electronic Engineering, Electronic Instrumentation, and Control Engineering.
1.2 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Chemical and Process Systems Engineering (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, and a third approved subject such as Physics. These include ND or HND in Chemical Engineering.
1.3 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Electronic Engineering (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics and Physics and a third approved subject.
- OR National Diploma or HND in Electronic Engineering.
1.4 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics and Physics and a third approved subject.
- OR ND or HND in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
1.5 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Polymer Technology and Engineering (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Chemistry and any other two subjects.
- OR National Diploma (ND) in Polymer Technology and Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of two years relevant post qualification experience.

3.1 Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) Degree (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, and either Biology or Physics.
- National Diploma or HND in Pharmacy or related qualification.
3.2 Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Diagnostic Radiography (4 years)
- Three A' Level passes in Mathematics, Physics, Biology or Chemistry.
- Diploma in Radiography or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Radiography.
3.3 Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physiotherapy (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics, Physics, Biology or Chemistry.
- National Diploma or HND in Physiotherapy or equivalent.

School of Business and Management Sciences
4.1 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Financial Engineering (4 years)
- Three A' Level passes in Commerce/Science subjects including Mathematics.
4.2 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in E-commerce (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Commercial Science subjects including Mathematics/Accounting or Computer Science.
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in E-commerce or equivalent.
4.3 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Forensic Accounting and Auditing (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Commercial Science subjects including Mathematics/Accounting.
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Forensic Accounting or equivalent.
School of Information Science and Technology
5.1 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Computer Science (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics/Science subjects and one of the following subjects or their equivalent: Physics, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- OR ND or HND in Software Engineering or equivalent.
5.2 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Information Technology (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics and at least one other Science subject.
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Information Technology or equivalent.
5.3 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Information Security (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics and Computer Science/Security/Physics or any equivalent.
- National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Information Security Assurance or equivalent.
5.3 B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Software Engineering (4 years)
- A' Level passes in Mathematics/Science subjects and one of the following subjects or their equivalent: Physics, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.

How to Apply For the HIT March & August Intakes
Applications are done online from the university website: www.hit.ac.zw. The application fee is US$10 for local applicants. The fee for international applicants is US$50.
