Bulawayo Methodist High is a day school run by the Methodist church. The new school opened its doors to the public in January 2020.

The school is located only 500 meters from the city centre in Bulawayo. It is one of the many top schools being run by the Methodist church in Zimbabwe. It is an affordable school.

Bulawayo Methodist School Curriculum

The school offers a broad curriculum covering academic, technical, and practical subjects. Key areas of study include:

• Languages: English Language, Ndebele Language, Ndebele Literature, Shona Language, and Literature in English.
• Sciences: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science, Statistics, and Crop Science.
• Humanities: History, Geography, Heritage Studies, and Family and Religious Studies.
• Commercial Subjects: Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, and Principles of Accounting.
• Practical & Technical Subjects: Computers, Computer Skills (HEXCO), Motor Mechanics (HEXCO), Hotel and Catering (HEXCO), Agriculture, Food Technology and Design, and Textile Design Technology.

The curriculum is designed to prepare students for ZIMSEC (Zimbabwe School Examinations Council) examinations at both Ordinary Level and Advanced Level, as well as HEXCO certifications.

Bulawayo Adventist High School Pass Rate

Bulawayo Methodist High School performed exceptionally well in the 2025 examinations, achieving outstanding results at both Advanced Level and Ordinary Level.

At A-Level, the school attained an impressive 100% pass rate. Out of a total of 17 candidates, 5 learners achieved 15 points or better, reflecting strong academic performance and quality instruction.

At O-Level, the school recorded an overall 75% pass rate. From 56 candidates who sat for the examinations, 1 learner attained 5 Subjects with Grade A or better, demonstrating notable academic excellence.

These results highlight the school’s commitment to high academic standards and learner achievement.
