The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has confirmed that the Advanced Level examination results will be released on Friday at exactly 12 noon.
The announcement, made on Thursday, 8 January 2026, brings relief to thousands of candidates, parents, guardians, and schools nationwide who have been awaiting the outcome of the examinations.
Once released, candidates will be able to view their results via official ZIMSEC platforms as well as collect them from their respective schools. Educational institutions have been instructed to prepare for the release and distribution of results in accordance with ZIMSEC regulations.
The publication of the A-Level results represents an important step for learners preparing to pursue university placement, college enrolment, and other post-secondary pathways.
ZIMSEC has urged candidates and parents to remain calm and rely on official communication channels for accurate information regarding result access and related procedures.
Official confirmation of the release date
The release timetable was formally announced by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Torerayi Moyo, in a statement issued on 8 January 2026.
In his address, the minister said he was officially informing the nation of the scheduled release of the results. He noted that the 2025 examination cycle marks the third consecutive year in which national examinations were completed successfully without any paper leakages.
According to the minister, this achievement is the result of ongoing reforms within the education sector, including strengthened supervision measures and improved examination security systems.
Candidates are expected to access their results through official ZIMSEC channels once the release goes live at midday on Friday, while schools have been reminded to adhere strictly to the council’s established result dissemination procedures.
