TVET Bursary Program for students in Zimbabwe

FAWE Africa and Forum for African Women Educationalists – Zimbabwe (FAWEZI), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, are offering 200 bursaries for marginalised young women and men in Zimbabwe to study STEM-related courses at selected polytechnic colleges for the 2026 academic year.

This initiative aims to support marginalized young women and men pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-related programmes at selected polytechnics across Zimbabwe.

Key Details

  • Number of Bursaries: 200
  • Target Beneficiaries:
    • 80% for young women
    • 20% for young men
    • 5-15% for persons with disabilities and refugees
  • Priority: Participants facing high social and economic barriers

Applicants can apply to study at the following institutions:

  • Harare Polytechnic
  • Bulawayo Polytechnic
  • Mutare Polytechnic
  • Gweru Polytechnic
  • Kwekwe Polytechnic
  • Belvedere Technical Teachers College

How to Apply

  1. Obtain application forms from:
  • Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation Science and Technology Development Provincial Offices across Zimbabwe’s 10 provinces,
  • or download them from the FAWEZI website:
  • FAWEZ offices located at the Kenyan Embassy, 95 Parklane, Harare
  • Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Provincial Offices
  • Local Primary and Secondary Education District Offices
  • You can also apply online via the FAWEZI website’s Updates page.

After completing the application, you submit it.

📅 Deadline: 30 October 2025

Important Notes:

  • No application fees – it’s completely FREE.
  • All applications will be verified, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  • Applicants must be pursuing a STEM-related programme at one of the listed institutions.
  • FAWEZI upholds a zero-tolerance policy on child abuse, exploitation, and harassment.
