The Presidential and National Scholarships Department, under the Office of the President and Cabinet, is pleased to announce the call for scholarships registration for the 2025 academic year.
Opportunities Abroad in Various Disciplines
The scholarships target qualifying students, primarily from rural areas across Zimbabwe's ten provinces, who are interested in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies at prestigious foreign universities.
Here are the disciplines open for scholarship applications:
- Engineering: Including but not limited to Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Computer, Civil/Structural, and Environmental Engineering.
- Health Sciences: Covering fields such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, and more specialized areas like Psychiatry and Physiotherapy.
- Science and Technology: From Robotics and Automation to Renewable Energy and Agronomy.
- Agricultural Sciences: Including Soil Science, Horticulture, Wildlife Management, and Environmental Management.
- Management Sciences: From Accounting and Business Economics to Forensic Accounting and Risk Management.
- Sports: Focusing on Sports Science.
- Social and Human Sciences: Encompassing a wide range of studies such as Drama and Film, Media and Communication, Tourism and Hospitality Management, and International Relations.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these life-changing scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Undergraduates: Achieve a minimum of ten (10) points at ‘A' Level in subjects relevant to the chosen degree program. Applicants must be 25 years of age or below by 31 January 2026.
- Science and Technology Undergraduates: Must have either A or B grades in relevant ‘A' Level Science subjects.
- Masters and PhD Candidates: Must possess at least an Upper Second Class Degree classification in the relevant field of study. Masters applicants should be below 35 years of age, and PhD applicants below 40 years of age by the specified date.
How to Apply For The 2025 Presidential Scholarships
For the registration process, candidates should satisfy the following criteria:
- Undergraduates should have a minimum of ten (10) points at ‘A' Level in subjects that are relevant to the chosen degree programme, and must be 25 years of age or below by 31 January 2026.
- Undergraduates for Science And Technology disciplines should have either A or B in relevant ‘A’Level Science subject.
- For Masters and PhDs, applicants must have at least an Upper Second Class Degree classification in the relevant field of study.
Masters applicants should be below 35 years of age, and PhD. applicants should be below 40 years of age by 31 January 2026.
For registration, interested candidates should present the following: –
- COPY of bio-data page of a VALID PASSPORT or PROOF OF AN APPLICATION for a passport (Mandatory),
- Application letter specifying the preferred Under-graduate or Post-graduate degree programme in the area of study of one's own choice. Give at least 3 suitable choices.
- Motivation letter (giving the applicant's background and justification on why one is worthy being nominated),
- Two reference letters, each from different persons or institutions,
- Copies of CERTIFIED‘A’Level and ‘O’Level Results Slips or Certificates,
- Copies of certified Degree Certificates and Transcripts in the case of Masters and PhD candidates and confirmation of results from respective Universities.
- Copies of CERTIFIED Birth and I.D. Certificates,
- CV, which clearly shows the District of origin as shown on Birth Certificate or National Identification Card and at least three functioning contact phone/cell numbers,
Registration documents that meet the deadline – and above requirements are valid until 31 January 2025.

Only those registered will be considered for ANY Scholarships opportunities and candidates should be prepared to take any Scholarship offers from any prescribed country.
