Applications for the 2025 First Year March and August Intakes are now open at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). NUST is committed to offering high-quality education across various disciplines, providing students with the skills, knowledge, and innovation required to excel in their chosen fields.

For undergraduate degree programs, candidates can apply through Normal Entry or Special Entry, provided they meet the necessary entry requirements. All applications must be submitted online via the NUST website or, alternatively, by downloading and submitting the completed form to the Admissions Office.

Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sports Science and Coaching	2 ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following subjects: Sports Science and Technology, Physical Education, Sport and Mass Display, Sport Management, Biology, Food Science, Food Technology and Design. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: Candidates who have successfully completed a Diploma in Sports Science or Physical Education or its recognised equivalent may apply.

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY

Or Higher National Diploma in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Mechanical, or equivalent plus one-year relevant working experience. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Mature Entry: 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. At least 25 years of age at the time of application plus relevant experience in the field of Agriculture or Engineering. Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Agribusiness, Economics and Management (4 years)	2 “A” Level passes in 2 Science and/or Commercial subjects or National Diploma. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: At least a National Diploma in the field of Agriculture from an accredited institution. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Mature Entry: 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. At least 25 years of age with at least 5 years relevant working experience. The applicant may be subjected to an interview.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sustainable Food Production (4 years)	At least one ‘A’ Level pass in either Food Science, Biology, Agriculture, Crop Science, Animal Science or Geography, and any other related Science or Commercial Subjects at ‘A’ Level. Special Entry: National Diploma in any Agricultural field. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Mature Entry: 5 “O” passes including English Language and Mathematics. 25 years of age at the time of application plus 5 years relevant experience in the field of Agriculture. The applicant may be subjected to an interview.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Agricultural Genetics and Cell Technology (4 years)	‘A’ level pass in Biology and at least one of the following subjects: Geography, Chemistry, Crop Science, Animal Science or any other science subject at ‘A’ Level. 5 “O” Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: National Diploma in any Agricultural field. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Mature Entry: 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. 25 years of age at the time of application plus 5 years relevant experience in the field of Agriculture. Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Agricultural Information Technology (4 years)	2 “A” Level passes in Mathematics or Computer Science or Agriculture and any other relevant Science or Commercial subject or Relevant National Certificate. Special Entry: A Diploma in Agriculture or Information Technology or any related field from a recognized institution. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. – Mature Entry: 5 “O” level passes including English Language and Mathematics. The applicant should be at least 25 years old and should have at least 5 years relevant industrial experience.

Special Entry: A National Diploma in Architecture or Architectural Technology. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Mature Entry: 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Applicants must be above 25 years of age; be at least 5 years after their last qualification and are required to submit a CV and references and Portfolio. Applicants may be subjected to an interview.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying (4 years)	2 ‘A’ Level passes in either Pure Mathematics or Further Mathematics or Mechanical Mathematics or Physics and any one of the following subjects: Geometrical & Mechanical Drawing, Building Technology, Design & Technology, Technical Graphics, and Accounting. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: A National Diploma in Town Planning, Valuation and Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Finance and Business Studies. The Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe certification or its equivalence. Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Civil and Water Engineering	At least 3 ‘A’ level passes in Pure Mathematics/Additional Mathematics/Mechanical Mathematics, Physics and either Chemistry, Computer Science or Engineering Drawing and 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: Relevant National Diploma plus 2 years’ experience. Relevant Higher National Diploma plus 1-year experience.
Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering	At least 3 ‘A’ level passes in Pure Mathematics/Additional Mathematics/Mechanical Mathematics, Physics and either Chemistry or Computer Science. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: Relevant National Diploma plus 2 years’ experience. Relevant Higher National Diploma plus 1-year working experience.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE

Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Public Health (August Intake Only)	Special Entry Only: A National Diploma in Environmental Health or any other equivalent qualification. 2 years’ work experience. 5 O’ Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing in Natural Resources Management	2 “A” level passes in Geography, Biology or Chemistry plus 5 “O” level subjects including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: A National Diploma in Geographical Information Systems, Geo-Informatics, and Remote Sensing or its equivalent. Applicants will be subjected to an interview.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Environmental Science and Health	‘A’ Level pass in Biology and any of the following subjects: Chemistry, Geography, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Agriculture, Food Science. 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Forest Resources and Wildlife Management	‘A’ Level pass in Biology, Agriculture or Crop Science and any other Science subject and 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics. Special Entry: National Diploma in a relevant field. Mature Entry: Applicant should be at least 25 years old plus relevant experience in the field of wildlife, Forestry, and Natural Resources. The applicant may be subjected to an interview.

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION

DEGREE PROGRAMME	ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Design and Technology Education (Honours) Degree	The 2-year programme targets non-graduate school teachers and related personnel in the field of education. A recognised Diploma or Certificate in Education in any of the following: Applied Art and Design; Clothing, Textile and Fashion Design; Design and Technology. Possession of a relevant ‘A’ Level subject will be an advantage. Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Education (Honours) Degree	The 2-year programme targets non-graduate school teachers and related personnel in the field of education. A recognised Diploma or Certificate in Education in any of the following: Accounting and Business Studies; Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Computer Science. Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Technology Education (Honours) Degree	The 2-year programme targets non-graduate school teachers/college lecturers/trainers/instructors and related personnel in the field of education/industry. A recognised Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Technology, Technical or Vocational Education in any of the following: Civil and Construction Engineering; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Mechanical and Industrial Engineering; Technical Graphics; Wood Science and Technology. Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Design and Technology Education Honours Degree (4 Years)	The 4-year programme targets Post ‘A’ Level applicants with 2 ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following: Applied Art and Design; Clothing, Textile; Fashion Design, Design and Technology including the relevant subject of specialisation or its equivalent. 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics are a must.
Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree (4 Years)	The 4-year programme targets Post ‘A’ Level applicants with 2 ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following: Accounting and Business Studies, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science including the relevant subject of specialisation or its equivalent. 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics are a must.
Bachelor of Technology Education Honours Degree (4 Years)	The 4-year programme targets Post ‘A’ Level applicants with 2 ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following: Civil and Construction Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Technical Graphics, Wood Science and Technology, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering including the relevant subject of specialisation or its equivalent. 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics are a must.

MEDICINE

DEGREE PROGRAMME	ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Midwifery (3 Years)	Registered General Nurse with a Diploma in Midwifery and Registered as a Midwife. Registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe and have a valid Practising Certificate with 2 years work experience post-midwifery qualification. 5 O’ Level passes including English Language and a Science subject.
Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management	‘A’ level pass in Biology, and any other two science subjects.
Special Entry	National Diploma in Health Information Management, Records and Archives Management, Library and Information Science, Information Communication Technology, or any other recognized equivalent qualifications. Candidates with a Higher National Diploma in the above qualifications will be credited in accordance with the relevance of their courses to the degree in Health Information Management.

BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC SCIENCES
